The members of The Three Rivers Underground Brewer’s (TRUB) and TruClose Financial Services (glass
sponsor) will be providing their Third Annual “Brewing Up A Cure” for Cystic Fibrosis on Saturday,
October 17th at the Pittsburgh Athletic Association (PAA) on Fifth Avenue in Oakland from 7 to 10PM.
Entertainment by Highway 13 will return by popular demand from last year’s event. The home brewers
have been brewing up more than 50 different home beers created by members of TRUB. There will be a
sampling of delicious food from a variety of restaurants including some yummy desserts. Food sponsors
include Chipotle, Spaghetti Warehouse, Bella Frutteto Restaurant, Subway, Jimmy John’s, Big Joe’s –
Oakland, SweetHouse Bake Shop, Paddy Cake Bakery, Starbucks and more to come.
Tickets are now available online for general admission for $30. The VIP Session has officially SOLD OUT!! Thank you to everyone who purchased VIP tickets. There are still plenty regular admission tickets available, but they are going fast. Get them online today! Tickets price at the door, if available, will be $40 (general admission).
There will be many commercial beers such as East End Brewing, Stone Brewing, and a unique selection from Frank B. Fuhrer. Again this year there will be a “special” super silent auction of a hand crafted bar donated by T.C. Contracting and other awesome baskets and silent auction items for guests to bid on.
Brewing Up A Cure has been extremely well received and successful these past two years and we cannot slow down the great progress that has been made. Please continue to help and support this very exciting event to continue our efforts so that one day soon, CF will stand for “Cure Found”. Last year our event raised $22,000 in the name of Sadie’s Soldiers for Sadie Lane Terrick. Sadie’s dad, Shane, is a member of TRUB.
